reSTYLEable - " Fashions with a past " was started in 2007, with inspiration coming from my daughter Rindi and my Mother. Timing was everything! First my daughter was encouraging us to start recycling more. Second, my parents were visiting us and my mother drinks a lot of Diet Pepsi. My thoughts soon went beyond simple recycling to “What can I do with an aluminum can?” I started cutting, punching, forming, sewing with no end result in mind. Creative thinking just kept me going each step, from the outer shell to the handle. My craft room has now turned into a recycle bin-with aluminum cans by the thousands, cardboard piled 6 feet high, and recycled upholstery samples that I purchase when they are no longer a “decorating trend.” Each bag is 3 layers, one of which is a coordinating material liner. Handles and threads will vary. Watch for new products in the future because we have gotten a handle on recycling.
